As Lakewood Ranch locals, we know that hurricanes cause a lot of stress for homeowners. That's why we offer Storm Watch Services as an add-on option for our clients. Our team can check on your house before and after the storm to ensure safety and assess any damage. Pre-Storm: • Exterior visual inspection looking for vulnerabilities • Secure outdoor furniture and movable items • Lower automatic storm shutters • Disable HVAC • Lower refrigerator temperatures • Meet with hurricane shutter installation experts* (External contractor required.  SunSitters does NOT install or remove hurricane shutters.) Post-Storm • Exterior visual inspection looking for obvious damage to home, roof, gutters, and property • Reposition outdoor furniture & and movable items that had been put away for the storm • Raise automatic storm shutters • Reset HVAC and internal electronics as indicated by the homeowner • Assist in coordinating storm shutter removal* (External contractor required) • Report findings to the homeowner and establish a restoration plan of action

We check for common issues such as expired food, water leaks or broken windows, and coordinate any necessary fixes.
